Redneck Showdowns. Episode 1. Tallahassee 2008. Comedian Joel Sanders live at The Comedy Zone. A drunk, blind man sat at the front table becomes the target of Joel’s affections. Afterwards, he approached Joel an introduced himself as Bill Fannin, an ex professional wrestler who -- under the name ‘The Assassin’ -- was involved in the 1980’s Memphis feuds with Jerry Lawler & Andy Kaufman. Google has very little to suggest that Fannin’s story isn’t total BS but it’s a great tale all the same.
